The Taking Back Sunday series on Casual Details has really encouraged me to be more adventurous and explore areas of the Bay Area during my weekends. This specific post is special because I explored Point Montara Lighthouse and Half Moon Bay with fellow contributor CW who came to visit San Francisco from Boston. We started the day by taking a drive along the PCH to Half Moon Bay where we had lunch at Barbara’s Fish Trap for some local seafood.
We then stopped by Point Montara Lighthouse to discover hiking trails that led down to a private hidden beach that we had all to ourselves. It was a slightly overcast day, but it did not take away from the beauty of the California coastline.
